I have to share my experience at Klaw here because I think everyone in Dublin who likes seafood should go there. It’s tucked away in the heart of Temple Bar and is a breath of fresh air amidst all the stereotypical Irish touritst traps.menu
The space is quite tight, but I managed to get a seat just before I queue started to form outside. I like that there’s no messing around here, you just pick out your food from the menu on the giant blackboard wall. A variety of oysters served with lemon or tabasco, dressed or torched. You can get Atlantic prawns, crab, seafood chowder, smoked salmon, a seafood platter and of course lobster as well as a few dessert options.

I ordered the lobster roll which was really good. The €15 price tag stung a little, but I convinced myself it would probably be worth it. It was.
The lobster meat is dressed in a yuzu mayonnaise and served in a delicious brioche bun fried in butter. When I was finished eating, I was left mixed emotions of satisfaction from a delicious meal and sadness that it was all gone!

I washed it down with a glass of Prosecco while enjoying the cute messages and comments from previous diners that are hung along the wall on string.
I would definitely go back for one of those tasty lobster rolls, it’s pricy and nowhere near Slimming World friendly, but it makes for a lovely treat!
