Suesey Street is a restaurant I’ve had on my list for a while. Recently, I finally made it there and I’m glad it was a Friday night because I got to enjoy their new Friday night supper club menu.
Suesey Street supper club is every Friday night for the summer. For €69, you can have dinner for two with a specially selected bottle of wine and tea/coffee while enjoying live music from a jazz trio called Sonic Tolfa.
The menu is lovely and I really enjoyed the food. That was after I took some pictures of it all, of course.
For starter I had the roast scallops with sea vegetable risotto and pickled seaweed. The scallops were lovely, not much flavour on the risotto but it was nice and light.
For my main I had the pan seared cod, which as you can see looked lovely on the plate. It tasted even better. A lovely crispy skin covering delicious cod that was so fresh, it fell apart at the touch of a fork.
I’m very much a dessert person (probably the reason I’m a Slimming World member), and the apple frangipane tart I had was the highlight of the meal for me. The combination of the crumbly texture and the sweet caramel taste was heaven on a plate for my sweet tooth.
All in all, I left feeling full and happy and it really was a lovely way to start the weekend. If you’re looking to unwind after a busy week with good food and chilled Friday night vibes, Suesey Street supper club should be on your list.
